Illusion Labs, the studio behind App Store titles such as Labyrinth, its HD version, and Sway, has focussed its control scheme literality on iPad. Foosball HD takes the timeless Foosball concept and maps it onto Apple’s tablet.

Finally, no more lugging a heavy wood and steel construction around with you to resolve friendly disputes.

If you’ve played Foosball, Foosball HD will feel familiar. Taking advantage of the device’s multi-touch functionality, two players (or one, if you have no friends) can face off on a slightly down scaled table - only three lines per side, including the goalie.

Everything seems to work as you would expect, with forward and back movements positioning the players on the horizontal plain, whilst a left or right swipe will spin them.

Foosball HD has already been submitted to the App Store, and should be out soon. There's also a video of the game in motion on Touch Arcade.
