Square Enix has released the 1st video for the iOS and Android version of Final Fantasy VI

Fantasy vids

Product: Final Fantasy VI (iOS & Android) | Publisher: Square Enix | Genre: Adventure, Retro, RPG
For: iPad   Also on: Android, iPhone

Square Enix has released the first video for its iOS and Android version of classic 16-bit era JRPG Final Fantasy VI.

There's not a lot to see in the trailer, in truth. The start of the soundtrack does sound a bit like a tinny version of 'Thriller', mind.

Also, the footage is mostly hidden by giant borders. The border art is nice, though, so there's that.

Final Fantasy VI will be available on the App Store and the Google Play Store this winter in Japan. We're not sure when it'll be available in the West.

The Final Fantasy VI trailer is just below. Scroll down a bit. There we go. Enjoy.

Honestly, the game needs no trailer, just the logo and the date and that would have the same impact as a big hollywood promo vid. The game is legendary, possibly the best in the series (tho some say 5 was really amazing, and 12 is up there imho)...

I wish SE would just take my money already and stop making me wait for this game.

I'd forgotten that you can suplex trains, and now I can't stop laughing at the notion of performing a wrestling move on a locomotive.

As long as we can still suplex trains, I don't think the controversial art style will be anything to worry about.

Horrendous trailer to promote a game, you would think a company that does full cgi movies would know how to properly do a gae trailer.
