The Warlock of Firetop Mountain brings a new take on the gamebook to iOS on February 22nd

Tin Man Games recently expanded its library with visual novel Miss Fisher, and their next major release looks to further evolve the rekindled interactive fiction genre, when the text/3D RPG hybrid The Warlock of Firetop Mountain comes to iPad and iPhone later this month.

While Sorcery and Lone Wolf have experimented with combining text with other genres, Warlock of Firetop Mountain evokes tabletop RPGs, as your hero figurines move through dioramic dungeons. Text snippets offer descriptions and decisions, letting you shape the dungeon through your choices.

Stats, weapons, class, and skills all influence the actions you can take, and how you fare in the game's turn-based battles. You'll need to consider positioning and smart use of your attacks to survive the increasingly deadly beasts that lurk within Firetop Mountain.

The Warlock of Firetop Mountain is expected to release on the App Store on February 22nd. You can also find the game on Steam.
