Scrappy post-apocalyptic robot shooter Epoch 2 is free on iOS right now

For what is at least the second time, Uppercut Games has dropped the price of its Bronze Award-winning robo-shooter Epoch 2 to the marvellous price of free.

Yep, you can download it for iOS (not Android, sorry) without having to spend a single penny right now. Worth a shot, right?

Well, our reviewer said that while it "doesn't quite hit the right marks," there is certainly a "solid touchscreen shooter here."

The game has you playing as EPOCH as it travels across a war-ravaged country to protect Princess Amelia. But there are two warring robot armies in the way. Typical.

What ensues is a cover-based shooter with lots of earthy browns and metallic greys. Oh, and lasers. Yep, lots of red beams of light and pew-pew sounds.
