[Updated] Dynasty Warriors Blast is an upcoming iOS and Android version of Koei Tecmo's raucous brawler
Updated on 15th July at 13:33: Sad news Dynasty Warriors fans. Koei Tecmo has contacted our sister site AppSpy, and it looks like Dynasty Warriors Blast won't be heading to the UK any time soon.

According to a representative of the company: "there are no current plans to release Musou Blast (as the game is called in Japan) to the Western territories."

So there might be plans in the future, but we wouldn't advise holding your breath. Sorry.

Original story follows...

There's a Dynasty Warriors game coming to iOS and Android. It's called Dynasty Warriors Blast, and according to SiliconEra it's set to hit Japan at the end of this month.

The game is apparently based on Dynasty Warriors 7, and sees you leading characters through an action-focused biography mode.

By the looks of the screenshots that have been released there's set to be a similar level of carnage to other entries in the Dynasty Warriors series.

You're a lone warrior of legend mashing hordes of soldiers with giant weapons and magical powers.

You'll be able to purchase premium characters to help in your war effort, and they'll feature different art and skills to their free counterparts.

By the sounds of it then the game will be free-to-play, but it remains to be seen what sort of payment system Koei Tecmo will introduce.

A pre-registration event is already up and running on the game's official website, but unless you understand Japanese you're unlikely to be able to learn much from that.

There's no word yet whether the game will be heading to UK shores, but we will of course keep you posted as and when we hear anything else.
