Cube Roots and Devolver Digital's RPG / match-three puzzle hybrid Dungeon Hearts will materialise on the UK and US App Stores at midnight tonight.

Like the excellent Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, this interesting offering from the publisher of Hotline Miami (heading to Vita this spring) features classic match-three puzzle mechanics combined with traditional RPG levelling systems.

In Dungeon Hearts, one-man dev team Cube Roots tells the tale of four warriors who must battle their way across a mystical land to defeat The Dark One.

To win these battles, you have to match coloured runes as they flow from right to left across the screen. Connect matching runes from this "Fatestream", and you will trigger impressive attack combos.

There are strategic elements at play in Dungeon Hearts, too.

For example, you can link each of the game's four protagonists to different runes, and you can level them up to unleash a customisable range of useful powers and spells.

If you think Dungeon Hearts and your iPad are a match made in heaven, log in to the UK or US App Store at midnight tonight to get your game on. Dungeon Hearts will set you back £1.99 / $2.99.
