First details emerge about the upcoming iOS and Android port of Dragon Quest VIII
It's the wrong way round
It was only a couple of days ago that Square Enix announced it was porting a whole host of Dragon Quest games to iOS and Android.
Already, though, the first details are starting to dribble through about what we can expect in these games.
The news tap at the moment is shooting out details about Dragon Quest VIII, the most modern of the core games that Squeenix is porting across.

Some footage has surfaced that shows the game being played in portrait orientation. It's an interesting move, and one we've not seen before, but it makes a lot of sense.

Obviously, the demo guy in the video is using the wrong finger to play the game. But using your phone to play the game that way around does mean there's a lot more space for the menus and that the buttons should be that little bit bigger.
Dragon Quest VIII is certainly looking good, then. This will be the first time the game has been available on something other than a PlayStation 2, by the way. Which isn't particularly portable.
We'll keep you up to date with the latest news on the other Dragon Quest games that are heading to iOS and Android as soon as we find out more.
