First revealed last year, Distant is a new platformer being developed by the developers behind Alto's Adventure and upcoming Where Cards Fall. While the first teaser was quite cryptic, the new video showcases Distant's gameplay and low-poly visuals.

Cape flapping behind you, Distant lets you and your orb companion leap and dive through detailed environments, scenic worlds to explore and traverse. The short trailer shows your fluid movement, able to back-flip and arc over ocean cliffs and smash through rickety bridges.

Distant isn't solely about low-poly acrobatics; the mysterious landscape holds its own secrets, whether it's the rune stones waiting to be activated or the gargantuan beast in the background of the level.

Distant is still in development, and we'll keep you updated on new details as they become available.
