Desktop Dungeons to deliver a roguelike experience in 10 minute sessions, out now [Update]
Updated on May 28th, at 10:29: Desktop Dungeons is now also available on Android, over on that Google Play. It's gonna cost you £7.91 / $10.00.

Best of all, the game saves into the cloud so you can sync your dungeon up with your desktop, or even your iOS device if you're into that sort of sick, cross-platform action.

Original story follows…

Desktop Dungeons is out at midnight. As you can tell by the title, Desktop Dungeons started out life as an award-winning PC game (like desktop PC, see?). But it has always been perfect for mobile so it makes sense to bring it across. It's a condensed roguelike designed to be played in 10-minute sessions, or thereabouts. Before each go, you choose a race and class for your character and then enter a randomly generated dungeon. From there, you beat up some monsters in an order that leaves you alive and them dead. Once a dungeon is conquered you get the chance to maintain your kingdom, unlocking new classes, starting weapons, and bonus dungeons.

The mobile port is also the "Enhanced Edition" of the game meaning it has extra content including extra classes and Daily Challenges. It also has cross-save functionality and comes with a touchscreen optimised interface - as you'd expect. You'll be able to purchase it for £7.99 / $9.99 on the App Store at midnight. We're expecting the Android version to drop tomorrow, too.
