German adventure game studio Daedalic has announced that it's bringing the PC point-and-click adventure Deponia to iPad this August.

We already knew it was on the way as Daedalic announced its plans to bring not just Deponia but most of its catalogue of PC adventure games to iOS at GDC last year.

What's new here is the release window. We also know that it'll cost £7.99 / $9.99 when it hits the App Store.

If you're not familiar with Deponia, it has you play as trash tinkerer Rufus as he attempts to escort a woman called Goal out of the slums and back to the privileged sky city of Elysium from which she fell.

It plays as a traditional point-and-click adventure with silly humour, inventory-based puzzles, and a bunch of oddball characters.
