Product: Defend It!
For: iPad   Also on: iPhone

AR games are fun for a multitude of reasons, but Defend It! is simple and stylish, and builds on the newer AR features from iOS 11.3. We don't know when it'll be coming to the App Store just yet, but we'll keep you updated when we do.

If you could guess from the name, Defend It! is all about defending a previous item from a horde of advancing enemies. At the beginning of the game, you'll place a virtual shelf up complete with your valuable item (a crystal in the above video). Quickly, the wall begins to crack and out pour a wave of attacking robot aliens.

According to the video description, you'll be able to upgrade your weapon in the game and unlock different items to defend. You'll also have a mission mode with over 100 scenarios to work through.

While I'm down for this nifty-looking shooter, one major concern is longevity. Will there be enough here to keep the gameplay feeling fresh and avoid tedium? I really do hope so, but we'll have to wait and see.
