That's good to know

Curiosity winner Bryan Henderson won't be able to 'kick everyone in the world' out of Godus

More details are starting to emerge about the deification of Bryan Henderson, the lucky so-and-so who just happened to tap the last cubelet in Peter Molyneux's Curiosity. (Hey, I'm not bitter. Honest.)

We already knew that Henderson, an 18-year-old from Edinburgh, would become a 'god' in 22Cans's next title Godus as a result of winning Molyneux's competition.

In an interview with Wired, though, Molyneux has revealed a little more about the forthcoming reign of Lord Bryan.

During the interview, Molyneux confirmed that Henderson's time as the big cheese of the Godus universe would be finite. "His reign will last a certain period of time... and then he can be overthrown."

There's more. Not only will the role and the title be passed on to the next god, but also the salary. Not quite as life changing a prize as first thought, eh.

Molyneux also went into greater depth about the powers that Bryan will wield from his digital sky throne.

"He can't kick everyone in the world. He can't suddenly decide that everyone's games get deleted. These [powers] are within the confines of game balancing. Some of them are moral decisions, some may be territorial decisions."

We'll have to wait and see what powers Henderson actually possesses once the game goes live. Will he end up as nothing more than a false idol? Or will he ascend to the status of the Almighty Deity? Only time will tell.
