Crimsonland HD is now out on iOS for all your bloody alien massacre needs
Paint it red
Well, that didn't take long. Crimsonland HD has been released on iOS only a few weeks after its soft-launched in Canada.
This is the remastered HD version of the classic top-down shooter that was recently released on PC and PS Vita.
It's beautiful in its simplicity (and bloodiness).
You enter sprawling arenas armed to the teeth. You then try to survive wave after wave of aliens, mutant lizards, giant spiders, and other gross creatures.
Each kill turns into a huge bloody spurt, and the resulting viscera-covered floor is where the game gets its name.
It also has some lite RPG elements as you'll steadily unlock new guns and perks to, hopefully, help you survive for longer.
Otherwise, this is pure gory shooting.
You can download Crimsonland HD for free on the App Store right now. There's a single IAP to unlock the full game that costs £2.99 / $4.99.
