Coverfire brings retro arcade action to iPad
Remake of Commodore 64 Crossfire
Game developer Infinite Sands will be bringing a remake of Commodore 64 game Crossfire exclusively to the iPad, under the name Coverfire.
Speaking on the Touch Arcade forums, the developer said "this is not a retread or upscaling of an iPhone game. This is a title designed with the iPad in mind. Only the iPad's large touchscreen can provide a smooth and comfortable arcade experience."
As such, Coverfire fits the entire single-screen classic onto the iPad's 10-inch display. The game will also support both landscape and portrait modes.
Racking your brains where you last saw Sierra On-line's Crossfire? It was also on Apple II, Atari 400/800, PCjr and VIC-20, trivia buffs.
