Cookie Jam fits squarely into the Candy Crush Saga mould. Sure, its main concern is baked goods, but most of the mechanics on show will be familiar to anyone who's picked up King's opus.
You slide gems around to solve a variety of puzzles. Sometimes it's just about matching a set number of colours, other times it's about clearing the waffles that are underneath the gems.
There are levels that involve getting delicious treats to the bottom of the screen, and others that see you killing hungry gingerbread men.
It's all very polished, and it plays fine, but there's a lack of any real imagination or spark here that means you're unlikely to get along with Cookie Jam unless you're a huge fan of the genre.
