Company of Heroes will be available for iPad on 13th February

Company of Heroes' iPad release has been on the cards for a while now. It was originally supposed to come out last year but game development has a habit of throwing up the odd roadblock to delay these things. But no matter, so long as the port is good when it releases no one should mind waiting a smidgen longer.

Folks will be able to dive into some WWII real-time strategy when Company of Heroes releases on iPad on 13th February. The game has been redesigned to better work on tablets with a new user interface that promises an intuitive experience on a touch screen.

If you're unfamiliar with Company of Heroes, it's a strategy game where you take command two companies of American soldiers. You'll follow them throughout 15 missions based on events that took place during WWII, starting with the D-Day invasion of Normandy.

Once you've completed those you will also be able to download extra missions and skirmish maps for no additional cost. So that means you'll be able to enjoy some more tactical action without having to worry about future IAPs to buy DLC.

The game will take up a fairly noteworthy 6gb of space, though Feral Interactive recommends having at least 8gb free to avoid any issues when installing the game. They've also provided a list of iPads the game is compatible with. You will need to have iOS 13.1 or later installed and have one of the following Apple tablets:

  • iPad mini (5th generation)
  • iPad Air (3rd generation)
  • iPad (5th generation)
  • iPad (6th generation)
  • iPad (7th generation)
  • iPad Pro (1st generation: 9.7", 12.9")
  • iPad Pro (2nd generation: 10.5", 12.9")
  • iPad Pro (3rd generation: 11", 12.9")

Company of Heroes is available to pre-order now on the App Store ahead of its release on 13th February. It's a premium title that costs $13.99 / £13.99 / 14,99 €.
