Codemasters has been teasing something Colin McRae related on its Twitter feed for the last couple of days.

The British video game dev has been telling people they're going to have to wait until Thursday to find out what it is, though.

Well, it's Thursday in New Zealand, and what "it" is is none other than Colin McRae Rally for iOS.

The game is based on content from Colin McRae Rally 2.0 - the second game in the rallying series - and features 30 different stages that make up more than 130km of track for you to drive down.

You can drive a Subaru Impreza, a Ford Focus, a Mitsubishi Evo VI, and a Lancia Stratos through rallies in Greece, Corsica, and Australia.

While your foot's to the floor, your co-driver, Nicky Grist, will be reading accurate pacenotes to you so that you know for sure just how difficult the next corner is going to be.

There are Game Center achievements to unlock, leaderboards to work your way up, and a variety of different challenges to compete in here.

You can even have a go at a full championship season to see if you've got what it takes to become the best off-road racing driver in the world.

Colin McRae Rally will accelerate onto the UK and US App Stores at midnight tonight. It'll set you back £2.99 / $4.99.
