Cat Quest is a Zelda-inspired adventure that just launched on mobile. You'll explore an open world filled with enemies to smash, quests to complete, and loot to grab.

There are also plenty of dungeons to explore too, and you can bet some tough monsters lurk in them. There are also lots of cats as well, which is nice.

At review, we gave Cat Quest an admirable Silver Award and described it as: "A brilliant and warm-hearted RPG that deserves to be played by as many people as possible".

We also asked the App Army what they thought, and here's what they had to say.

Aaron Burdett

Cat Quest is everything I want from a casual RPG. It's got the best elements of RPGs but everything's accessible.

Simple controls, a nice open world, good pacing, fun dialogue, and quick to learn combat made this a joy to play. Even those less interesting quests never felt like a chore thanks to the upgrades and unlocks.

I'm a cat. Slaying dragons. Need I say more?

Tom-Donna Clark

Wow. I think of this game as a feline version of Zelda, and it was well worth the wait. The graphics are excellent, the story is good, and the controls are easy and intuitive.

I'd say if you are a fan of this type of game you need to run to the App Store and download this. Excellent job on this. Highly recommended.

Fantastic little questing game that seems to fit mobile well. Everything seems to scale well to my small iPhone 5, apart from activating the special powers which can be a bit fiddly. I died a couple of times because of this.

The controls and overall feel remind me a lot of Crashlands - just swap out the crafting for questing! Only played for a couple of hours but it seems to be jam packed with things to do and upgrades/gear to acquire. I think this may keep me happy and occupied for a fair few hours yet.

I'm really enjoying this - it's a great little RPG. There are loads of quests to get your teeth into, plenty of loot to collect, and it looks and plays great.

Nice easy controls, sometimes activating the magic spells is a bit hit and miss but it doesn't impact the game much. Just move out the way and try again.

I love the look and feel of the game, the developers clearly poured a lot of love into this game.

Kaizer Chai

I like it! Something I can play to relax (probably the cats). It's an easy and casual RPG. The characters movements and controls are smooth. Really nice art style and just cute.

Ed Davis

I haven't played a huge amount of Cat Quest but what I have played, I've thoroughly enjoyed. The game has a great pace and you constantly feel like there's something to do.

The controls are intuitive and combat is easy to pick up and learn. The graphics aren't like any other RPG I've played. The speed and simplicity of the story will keep you hooked, along with all the cat related jokes.

Rahul Mazumdar

As soon as you launch the game, there's a charm about it that fills you up. From the short cutscene to the first steps into the game, it's filled with heart and it's clear that it's been made with a lot of love.

The gameplay is simplistic but engaging at the same time. The intuitive controls fit perfectly on the small screens, and it feels tailor fit for mobile.

It's still early days but I'm excited to delve deeper into it. One thing's for sure, it will put a smile on your face.

I loved this game. The cat is cute, the graphics fit the theme, and the sound is good. There's plenty of wandering to do, monsters to kill, upgrades to find, and side quests to make things more interesting.

The gameplay is easy and it makes the game a really fun experience. The only criticism I would have is the spell casting can be a little awkward, but that aside it's a game I would definitely recommend.
