The developer of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD has confirmed that other games in the extended family could get the iOS treatment.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD gathers together the first three Phoenix Wright games in one place and places them on iPhone and iPad in glorious HD.

Ace Attorney, Justice for All, and Trials and Tribulations were originally launched on Nintendo Game Boy Advance in Japan, then brought to Nintendo DS over here.

There are also a number of spin-off games and continuations that don't feature Mr Wright as the protagonist. What's the likelihood of seeing them on iOS any time soon?

We asked Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD producer Takeshi Tezuka whether the likes of Apollo Justice, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, and Gyakuten Puzzle Irekaeru Gyakuten would be getting similar treatment.

"If Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD is received well by the reviewers and the sales are good, then, yes, we would definitely consider making iOS versions of those games," Tezuka told our very own Peter Willington.

As for the forthcoming Ace Attorney 5, well, now we're getting ahead of ourselves. The fifth game in the original series isn't set for release on the 3DS in its native Japan until next year.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD will be hitting the App Store soon.
