Call of Duty: Strike Team goes on sale to celebrate the 2015 Call of Duty Championship

Activision has dropped the price of its first-person / third-person war game hybrid Call of Duty: Strike Team on iOS and Android.

There's a reason for it, too. The 2015 Call of Duty Championship kicked off in Los Angeles today. So the price drop is a celebration of that.

How much of a saving can you make? Well, instead of paying £4.99 / $6.99 you can pick it up for £1.49 / $1.99.

Oh, and Activision also shoehorned in a mention of the latest update to Call of Duty: Heroes in announcing this price drop.

Apparently, the reduced price is also a celebration of Ilona from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare being added to Heroes. Sure, OK, whatever.

Anyway, you can pick up Call of Duty: Strike Team on the App Store and Google Play.

We gave it a Bronze Award, with our reviewer saying that it's "one-part clumsy FPS, and one-part satisfying top-down strategy game."

They also recommend that you "spend most of your time with the latter and you'll be guaranteed a pretty good time."
