There are two Kairosoft games on sale on the App Store right now, so if you've got a gap in your collection, or you've yet to try one of the twee sims, now's a pretty good time to pick them up.

First there's Bronze Award-winning Caféteria Nipponica. It sees you running a café, or rather trying to run a chain of them. Which all sounds pretty exciting, I guess.

At review we said "although it's something of a letdown when you consider Kairosoft’s illustrious pedigree, Cafeteria Nipponica will still please lifelong fans of the developer."

And right now it'll set you back just 69p / 99c [buy]. Which really isn't all that shabby.

Now for some violence

Then there's Bronze Award-winning Ninja Village. Never let it be said that Kairosoft games are guilty of misleading titles. This one sees you running a village full of ninjas. There are huge scraps, and a good deal of economic micromanagement.

At review we said "Ninja Village is all about big armies and glorious battles, but the management side of things is lost in the kerfuffle."

That one costs just £1.49 / $1.99 [buy] at the moment.

So there you go, hours of weekend entertainment for less than the price of a pint of delicious, life-affirming beer. What more could you ask for?
