It says much about how the games industry is changing that Christopher Cherubini used to be the lead artist on Call of Duty at Infinity Ward.

He's now part of US start up duo Jupiter Moon Entertainment, which has just released its first iPad game.

It's called Bunny Popper and you ... ahem pop bunnies.

Still, they're not any old bunnies. These are mischievous inflatable bunnies from outer space. But, of course...

Finger poppin' good

We're guessing part of this radical change in subject matter comes via the influence of the other part of the duo, David Chiapperino, who was previously senior technical animator at Disney Interactive.

In terms of gameplay, it's a bit like Fruit Ninja but with jumping bunnies instead of fruit, as you have to tap on the bunnies that come towards you along a 3D road, also avoiding poison bottles but tapping on the bonus items and gems.

There are also cat helpers you can activate to help with respect of your rabbit defensive duties.

There are 20 levels to play through and 16 achievements.

Bunny Popper is available now, priced 99c, €0.79 or 69p for iPad.
