Bullet Hell Infinite, the love letter to '90s Danmaku shooters, is out and free right now on iOS

Nicolas Bevillard has released his love letter to the Danmaku shooters of the '90s that he calls Bullet Hell Infinite on iOS.

There's no sign of the Android version as of yet, it would seem. So, if that's your platform of choice, you've got just a bit longer to wait.

Bullet Hell Infinite gives away its two main components in that title.

So, yes, you fly a spaceship through hordes of enemies that fire bullets in big colourful patterns for you to dodge.

And, while it's not infinite exactly - there are only four stages - the enemies are generated differently each time you play a level. That's where the "Infinite" part comes from, presumably.

As you progress through the levels you're able to upgrade your ship to better survive the onslaught of bullets.

The game is also iCade compatible, so if you have one and are after an arcade cabinet experience, knock yourself out.

You can download Bullet Hell Infinite for free on the App Store right this second. We'll let you know when we spot it out on Android.
