Bullet Boy is a fast-paced cannon-blasting platformer that's heading to iOS and Android this July / August.

It finished in second place at the Big Indie Pitch at GDC
earlier this year. Developer Pomelo Games has now released a playable trailer of Bullet Boy so you can find out why.

You can play the trailer in your browser right here.

It'll give you a good idea of how Bullet Boy works. You tap to fire the titular kid from the cannons.

That's easy enough until a copper chases you. Later, the cannons spin and bats fly across your path, meaning you need to time your taps.

There's also a section in which Bullet Boy is flying through a low-gravity field.

Here, you have to tap and hold to make him rise, and let go so he sinks. You have to dodge hazards and collect fire spheres, you see.

Given its stylish looks, simple gameplay, and varied challenges, Bullet Boy is definitely one to watch.
