Build-a-Lot 2: Town of the Year out for iPad in New Zealand
Movin’ on up
Build-a-Lot 2: Town of the Year has been released for iPad, although if you’re a UK resident you’ll have to wait until midnight to get your hands on it.
A sequel to the hugely successful Build-a-lot which was originally released for the PC, Build-a-Lot 2: Town of the Year is already available for the iPhone, and is now set to move into iPad territory thanks to Glu.
The aim of the game remains the same as the original: to buy, update, and sell properties to generate profit, either by selling houses quickly, or getting rent from tenants.
You also have to use your entrepreneurial skills to pick the right locations for your properties, as well as trying to raise ‘Curb Appeal’ by painting and landscaping.
If you manage to combine the two successfully (whilst completing challenges along the way), you can put yourself in the running for the prestigious ‘Town of the Year’ award.
This release for the iPad has a similar range of features to the iPhone version, including new house types (villas, bungalows, and farmhouses), new special buildings, and new businesses to build up (e.g. bookstores and cafes).
There are also two modes to play: Casual mode, which gives you free rein over your neighbourhoods, and Campaign mode.
Build-a-Lot 2: Town of the Year will be available for purchase in the App Store for £4.99.
