BoardBox turns your iPad into 15 different board games
Chess, Reversi, Checkers, Go, etc
Some games are just perfectly suited to the iPad's giant screen, and developer Movile has thought of 15 of them.
With BoardBox, simply set the iPad down on a table and it becomes a collection of classic boardgames, complete with beautiful graphics and selectable board styles.
BoardBox includes games such as chess, checkers and reversi and features rules and game history from Wikipedia. There are also variants on some of the games, or you could turn the rules off entirely and make up your own.
It also features play-by-email multiplayer and three graphical styles: Mahogany, Granite, and Old School.
The app, which is set to be $3.99 (£2.39) on launch day, is planned to receive free updates with new games, variants, and styles in the future. The developer says it wants to "elevate BoardBox to be the ultimate board game application on your iPad."
