Plants vs Zombies developer PopCap has finally released an iPad-specific version of its highly addictive match-three iPhone puzzler Bejeweled, complete with Retina display support for Apple's third-generation tablet.

Like its smaller iPhone brother, Bejeweled HD contains a range of different game modes for you to delve into, including modes that task you with collecting gold and diamonds, and freeing butterflies before they're gobbled up by hungry spiders.

You'll be pleased to hear that Apple's social gaming platform Game Center is also back for another round of puzzling, meaning you can unlock achievements and compete with your friends on global leaderboards.
