Be the Batman in free-to-play punching simulator Batman: Arkham Origins for iPad and iPhone
Play on your Batphone
If you love punching goons in the face over and over and over and over, then I've got some good news for you. Yep, Batman: Arkham Origins has just swooped onto the App Store.
This free-to-play face-masher is a tie-in to the upcoming similarly titled console game.
In Batman: Arkham Origins, you take control of the Dark Knight on a cold, blustery Christmas Eve.
I say 'control'. Imagine Infinity Blade but with less autonomy, and you're halfway there.
So, you tap the screen to hit-in-face, and use occasional swipes to extend your combos. There are stances to switch to and special moves to hurl at masked men, too.
You earn coins and XP to spend on strengthening your Bat-pyjamas and increasing the size of your Bat-biceps. Or if playing games tires you, you can spend some real-world cash and bulk up the Bat without tapping on the screen.
The game looks quite nice, and Bat-fans will enjoy collecting different Batsuits for Batman to wear. Bat-wear?
Batman: Arkham Origins is out right now on the App Store. And it won't cost you a single penny to download it.
