Astro Duel is a fast-paced, same-device multiplayer arcade blast for iPad that's out right now on the App Store.

Taking its cues from the arcade classics of old, Astro Duel sees you and up to three other friends duking it out in tightly packed space-based arenas.

There are black holes, asteroids, powerful weapon upgrades, and gravity-warping stars scattered around the boxed-in levels. The aim of the game is to kill your opponents before they blast you.

Two players can play on the same iPad, but you can add extra friends to the mix by connecting iPhones or MFi controllers.

There's a gorgeous retro-twang to proceedings, and enough game modes to keep you playing for a good long while.
