Updated 3rd November, 08:40 AM: In keeping with their style for mystery and surprise, Gameloft is back at it again as Asphalt Xtreme drops on iOS like a sick beat.

Though a release trailer hasn't been launched, its Android pre-register is pretty epic so take a gander at that below.

Grab the game on the App Store free-to-play now.

Gameloft is on a roll today as Asphalt Xtreme has just soft-launched on iOS in Denmark and the Philippines.

After a couple of months of teasing, and more silence on the matter than we're used to, it's pretty cool to see what all of the fuss is about. As the next, but slightly separate, instalment in the Asphalt series, Asphalt Xtreme takes things off-road in some Mad Max-style courses. Speed around dunes, canyons, and baked mud as you race against opponents to reach the finish line.

With 35 maniacal machines - including branded vehicles such as Ford, Jeep, Mercedes-Benz, and so on, seven off-road vehicle types, a huge variety of race courses around the world, five game modes, 400+ career events, 500+ mastery challenges, and more, it'd be silly to say there's not much to do.

If you live in one of the appropriate areas, grab the game here on the App Store, or pre-register on Google Play. If you don't live in Denmark or the Philippines but you'd like to give the game a go, use our article here to help you cheat the system a little and set up a foreign iTunes account.
