When it comes to Alone in the Dark, the biggest mystery doesn't surround the game's plot. The biggest mystery is actually its disappearance last week.

As we mentioned at the time, Alone in the Dark was due to come out on the App Store on May 15th. However, Atari seemingly pulled the game before that happened.

Now, suddenly, with no word from Atari at all, Alone in the Dark has appeared on the App Store. Spooky.

If you aren't already aware, Alone in the Dark was originally released on PC back in 1992... as you can tell from the primitive 3D graphics below.

Alone in the Dark

You wander through a creepy Lovecraftian mansion and encounter the sort of action you'd expect from an adventure-horror game.

So, whether you were waiting for it or not, Alone in the Dark is now available to buy for 69p / 99c on iOS.

We've also reached out to Atari to find out if an Android version of the game is on the way. We'll update you when we find out.
