SpellTower creator's #Fortune looks into your future on iOS
Crystal gazing
You might know Zach Gage as the creator of SpellTower or the programmer of Ridiculous Fishing. Today, he's released something new on iOS called #Fortune.
It's not a game but you may find it interesting nonetheless. It is, in fact, a fortune teller.
"Who we are online is often a carefully crafted version of who we want to be," reads #Fortune's description.
"Tweets might be like mantras, tiny self-fulfilling prophesies… Or they might just be little lies we tell ourselves."
Apparently, #Fortune is both of these things: spewing out prophecies that you might to make happen, and lies.
It works simply enough. You press a button on its virtual fortune telling machine for it to print out a little ticket with your fortune on it.
It varies between being sentimental, to inspiring, and sometimes it's completely odd. I had one that said something about a dog in a park but not all the words were, well, actually words.
Whatever you do get, it's up to whether or not you want to share it on your Facebook or Twitter account. That seems to be the idea, though.
You can press the button as many times as the number on it says you can. Once you run out, you can either wait for some hours to pass for it to refill, or you can watch a video ad to get two button presses instantly.
If you're curious, you can download #Fortune for free on the App Store right now.
