Apple: No delay to UK iPad 2 launch
Tablet still coming on 25th March
Apple has denied rumours that the international launch of the iPad 2 will be delayed as a result of overwhelming demand in the United States.
The second-generation Apple tablet immediately sold out after its launch in the US and rumours had spread that the launch would be delayed in order to ensure that demand for the device could be satisfied when it launches in 25 countries this Friday.
These rumours intensified following the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. A delay wouldn't be a complete surprise given that Apple delayed the launch of the original iPad by a month due to exceptional demand.
However Apple told Tech Radar that "Everything that is on [Apple's] website still holds true; the website says 25 March and that's when it'll be.” AppleInsider
