Motorway massacre
A new iOS freebie called Vektor is a mix of top-down endless runner, classic motorbike brawler Road Rash, and cyberpunk classic Akira.
You play as a courier, intent on delivering top secret documents on your futuristic hoverbike. As you speed down the motorway you'll have to dodge cars, and beat up mercenaries.
It's simple enough: you tilt your phone to weave in and out of traffic, and tap on either side of the screen to swing your weapon. As you get hit your health will go down, neatly visualised by pushing your bike closer to the bottom of the screen.
The whole thing is supported by unobtrusive ads and there are no in-app purchases, so while you may be done with this rather basic game after a few goes, it won't cost you anything to give it a shot.
