Selfie Slam is an odd selection of mini-games that's out in soft launch in Canada, Finland, and Sweden. It's from Rovio's Lvl 11 studio, it's free-to-play, and it's very, very silly.

You build your own avatar, taking a photo of your face - the selfie of the title - and then adding limbs and other attachments to make something cute, endearing, and creepy. Probably more creepy than the other two really.

Then you get to play some mini-games. There's a football one, which is a lot like Soccer Physics, but if you lose you lose a life. Once those lives are gone you've got to wait for them to regenerate or toss some premium currency at them.

There's also a platforming game that sees you bouncing around some simple levels, pushing your friends into the sea to get past them. Just like in real life.

There are timers, multiple currencies, wheels to spin, adverts to watch, and new bits to buy for your freakish avatar. I've fought a hot dog with a moustache and a flipper-clad lunatic with tiny red hands.

It's all decidedly whacky and kooky and all those other words that that end in y. The football's fun, the platforming's pretty simple, and I haven't earned enough stars to play the rest of the game yet.

Selfie Slam is out right now in Canada, Finland, and Sweden, and it won't cost you a thing to download it. We'll let you know when it's available in the rest of the world.
