47th and final Pocket God update going live on iOS today
By Anthony Usher 19 December 2012
Game Name: Pocket God | Developer: Bolt Creative | Publisher: Bolt Creative | Format: iPhone | Genre: Virtual Pet/Toy
Later today, Bolt Creative will release its 47th and final content update for colourful mini-game-packed torture-'em-up Pocket God.
After installing this update, which is entitled Episode 47: Apocalypse, Ow!, you will be able to gain access to the Apocalypse Temple's Closet Room, where you'll find a strange Scientology-loving Pygmy called Tom.
I wonder how Bolt Creative came up with that name, then?
Anyway, if you can coax Tom out of the closet in which he hides, you can use him to unleash the dictator of the Galactic Confederacy, Xenu.
If you're feeling less destructive, you can put paid to the Scientologists' evil plans and prevent the end of the world instead. How? By procuring gems from each of the Apocalypse Temple's rooms.
This may be the end of Pocket God, but it's certainly not the end of this colourful franchise. Bolt Creative is hoping to finish up and release endless-runner Pocket God: The Runs at some stage during the first half of 2013.
Pocket God is available from the App Store for your iPhone for 69p / 99c right this second.
