App Army Assemble: Oh Sir…! - The best insult generator on mobile?
Your mother is a hamster and your father smells of elderberries
Oh Sir…! isn't so much a game as an insult generator, and was developed in just 48 hours during a game jam themed on Monty Python's Dead Parrot sketch.
It plays quite similar to the fencing minigame in The Secret of Monkey Island. You're each given a set of random phrases and have to turn them into the best insults ever. The best one takes a chunk of health off the opponent.
At review, we gave it a Bronze Award and said: "Pace and repetition issues aside, Oh...Sir! is a wonderfully witty and strangely strategic game that will tax your mind and make you smile".
We also gave the App Army access. Here's what they had to say.

If you love fighting games and prefer to solve your problems with good old British banter, this is for you. For those who aren't from England, you'll find it quite challenging - at least until you pick up English slang.
The only downside is, surprisingly, the lack of swear words. It all feels a bit PG-13. However, it deserves its price tag and is much more fun than arguing in real life.

This reminds me of playground fights, so if you wanna go back to those times, this is the game for you.
As odd as it sounds, it does require a certain degree of talent to create witty but offensive remarks and the multiplayer adds a lot to the game. It's worth trying.

This game is completely silly - but in a good way, and the multiplayer battles are really fun and awesome.
I like the quirky spirit and pungent insults that you can create, and the combo to score more and more points.

I love Monty Python but I'm not enjoying this - it's just not very fun. It doesn't look great either, and it's just not gelling for me.
Maybe I need more time with it but games that make you work to like them are just no fun.

I'm normally a fan of witty, well-crafted insults, but I just wasn't feeling this. I'm impressed they were able to implement strategy in an insult simulator but too often I found myself at a loss for words.
Overall, it's a well designed game, it just wasn't my cup of tea.
Ed Davis
I'm not getting into this - it feels a little clunky. I enjoy a bit of British banter but it just feels like a lot of effort to play rather than simple fun.
Ethan Harold
I love this. It's witty and silly, and will likely keep me entertained for a long time.
