Inkle’s highly anticipated project, Heaven’s Vault, finally has an, admittedly broad, release window. You can expect to have the game in your hands sometime in 2018. Inkle released a brief teaser trailer (above) that gives us a brief sampling of the game’s soundtrack, and Heaven’s Vault’s official site has gotten a shiny new makeover as well. Inkle is well regarded for 80 Days and their Sorcery! series, but Heaven’s Vault is set to be the studio’s most ambitious project to date. Inkle’s first original story, Heaven’s Vault tells the tale of archaeologist Aliya "El" Elasr and her robot companion Six as they explore the Nebula, a river of stars connecting far off moons.

Discover the secrets of the Ancients and learn to translate their lost, cryptic language. You’ll fill the role of a thief, explorer, seeker, detective, rogue, or savior, which puts a bit of a spin on how you’ll approach your adventures.

The game’s world looks stunning, too, with a lovely painterly aesthetic that lends itself perfectly to Heaven’s Vaults’ otherworldly setting. It’s a game fit for those that love to revel in exploration and the journey, rather than the destination. Stay tuned for a set release date.
