Checkpoint Champion mixes together the action of a racing game with the slightly bonkers handling of the likes of Flappy Bird.
It's just hit the App Store in New Zealand, and it should be out at midnight tonight in the UK.
You control your car by tapping to weave left and right, and double tapping to get a turbo speedboost. You need to navigate a series of increasingly difficult challenges, battling time constraints and different surfaces as you go.
It's a demanding arcade rush, and there's enough here that if you want to, you can get engrossed for hours. Leaderboards give you the incentive to try and shave milliseconds off your time.
The game is free to download and supported by ads, but you can pay £1.49 / $1.99 to turn them off forever.
