Breakfinity is classic block buster Breakout mixed with an endless-runner. It's made by Galcon creator Phil Hassey, and will be out on iOS in the UK and US at midnight tonight.

So, you bounce a ball with a paddle to hit a wall of floating bricks. But if you manage to smash a gap through the wall and fire your ball off the top of the screen, you move to a new level. Forever.

Or until you die, that is. At which point, this free-to-play game will let you spend diamonds (earned in-game or bought with in-app purchases) to keep going.

Came in like a wrecking ball

Breakfinity also features power-ups; boss fights every five levels; and an auto-scrolling stage where you must break out and enter the next level before you are summarily crushed to pixelly smithereens.

Breakfinity is minimalist, fast-paced fun. And unless you live in a cave, you should know by now whether you enjoy the simple destructive pleasures of Breakout (or Alleyway or Arkanoid or...).

Breakfinity will go live on the UK and US App Stores as a Universal app at midnight tonight. Breakfinity will be available for free.
