Actually, that's a lie - we haven't been able to buy a bag of chips for 59p at our local chippy for years now. Yet that's how much iDrops costs.

It's a puzzle game for iPhone and iPod Touch created by UK developer Dave Addey, who popped up with a comment on our App Store article last week on how tough it is for developers' games to be found.

We thought it was only fair that we check his title out. So, iDrops is a deceptively simple puzzler that sees you tapping on blobs to make them disappear, clearing as many as possible to get a score bonus.

The game is playable in portrait or landscape views if you rotate your device, and the game automatically saves if you get a call while playing it.

We can see ourselves having a lot of fun digging around the App Store for sub-£1 games to spot some under-the-radar gems, and iDrops looks like it could be one of them. Click here to go to its App Store product page.
