Fez developer Polytron 'politely refused' offer of help from Zynga
Worst team-up ever
It's not been the best few weeks for Zynga.
After being sued by EA for copyright infringement, the FarmVille creator was called out by Activision's David Crane for giving casual gaming a bad name.
If that wasn't enough bad press for one fortnight, Fez developer Polytron has claimed on Twitter that Zynga tried to secure a deal to port the firm's Xbox Live puzzle-platfomer to mobile.
The tweet appeared over the weekend on the official Polytron feed, and, surprisingly enough, the offer of help was refused.
"ZYNGA approached us to port FEZ to mobile. We politely refused. So, look forward to Zynga's FEX any day now, I guess!" the tweet read.
While Fez is certainly more hardcore than the majority of Zynga's freemium titles, it's possible - as folks over on Touch Arcade pointed out - that The Big Z was reaching out through its Zynga Partners branch, which offers a wider variety and range of titles than its 'parent' studio.
