Microsoft pegs June as a big month for Zune

Microsoft pegs June as a big month for Zune

Of course, Microsoft would like you to hold off on buying an iPhone indefinitely, but at least in this case it might (just might) be offering you an alternative.

We’ve fondled the idea of Microsoft deconstructing the failed Zune concept and reconfiguring it into an iPhone competitor, and a couple of new tweets from the Big M have just been posted saying:

“June 2009 will be an important month for Zune lovers,” and “New product launch, that's all I'm allowed to say. Hold off from buying an iPhone/Pre. :)”

Now, we wouldn’t advise holding off for too long, but June is of course E3 month, and considering previous research that suggests the Zune HD could handle Xbox Live games and that Microsoft has been advertising for mobile game developers, things are beginning to point in the direction of a game/media playing Zune phone. Despite what Microsoft says.

More news as we get it.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
