We were moderately impressed with Zoo Keeper for the DS, and so are pleased to hear that Namco Bandai has lassoed the rights to publish a mobile version.

The game is essentially a match-'em-up puzzler with a zoo theme, so don't go thinking this is some sort of elaborate pet sim. Cutesy stylized visuals and one-thumb thrills are the order of the day here, which the developer, Robot, has aptly implemented in the absence of a touchscreen.

Although the game was fun on the DS, we have a feeling that it will be better suited to mobiles and the super casual audience they are famed for. With a successful DS release and ten million online plays of the web version under its belt, Zoo Keeper's lineage is impressive and should have an easy time winning fans on mobile.
