Zen Bound was one of the first iPhone and iPod touch apps that, despite hovering between being a game and a digital toy, provided you with a gorgeous experience.

In awarding it 10/10, reviewer Spanner reckoned; "Zen Bound is an interactive poem which organically ties together contemplative gameplay and beautiful presentation".

Over on PocketGamer.biz, we've been talking to Jani Kahrama from developer Secret Exit to find out more about how the game was made, why it came to iPhone and what challenges the tiny Finnish start up had to overcome to get there.

The response I liked the most came in answer to the question, 'Were there any particular surprises you had in terms of player feedback when the game was released?'

"My favourite iTunes user review is: 'I thought this would be cool but all you do is wrap string around wood'. It just goes to show that sometimes it's difficult to meet the expectations of people."
