Zeemote JS1 set to reign in Spain

Telefonica signs up innovative Bluetooth controller

Zeemote JS1 set to reign in Spain

Spanish mobile operator Telefonica has signed a distribution deal with Zeemote to sell its Zeemote JS1 Bluetooth game controller.

It'll go on sale this week in a bundle with the Sony Ericsson K530i phone and four preloaded games: Pac-Man, Prince of Persia, Need for Speed ProStreet, and Fight Night Round 3.

Customers will pay £19.90 for the bundle, with existing Telefonica subscribers able to redeem their loyalty points with the operator to get hold of the controller and games.

That makes Spain the third European country to get its hands on the Zeemote, following the Netherlands and Germany.

Us Brits are still waiting for the company to sign a distribution deal here, but given that Telefonica is the parent company of O2, perhaps the latest deal brings a UK release that little bit closer.
