First screens of Yoshi's Island 2 on DS
Babies Mario, Donkey Kong and Peach all along for the ride
This Christmas just got better – Nintendo has just announced a new Yoshi game is coming to DS by the end of the year.
Yoshi's Island 2 (a working title, we're told) will continue in the cute platforming vein of the little green lizard man's previous outings.
The scant information so far doled out suggests that Yoshi's island home will be portrayed across both DS screens, although there's no information yet as to how the touch-screen itself will be used.
What we do know is that Baby Mario, Baby Donkey Kong and Baby Peach will all make an appearance in Yoshi's Island 2 – and on Yoshi's back, no less. Each will give Yoshi new abilities to help him navigate the mysterious floating island that has just appeared above his usual home.
As for multiplayer, Nintendo is remaining tight-lipped – but interestingly it has explicitly avoided stating this will be a single-player only title.
