iOS + Android + DS ...

This week, we've started a new regular feature. It's a round-up of the juiciest new Apple rumours. On this occasion, it focuses on the iPad mini. This new feature is called Infinite Scoop, and if you get the reference, then it's definitely the article for you.

We've also found out more about the hotly anticipated Modern Combat 4 game, received some disappointing news about the new iPod touch, and discovered how to play XCOM on the loo.

Here are the stories we didn't get round to, though...

New releases

Glitch Tank developer Michael Brough has launched a new game on iPad. It's called O, it's designed for two players on the same tablet, and it looks like it could end a lot of perfectly good friendships. 69p / 99c on iPad.

Sales

Silver Award-winning RPG The Bard's Tale - a knockabout parody of po-faced role playing games - is on sale to celebrate inXile's 10th anniversary. It's £1.49 / $1.99 on iOS [download], and £1.89 / $2 on Android [download].

Culture clash

Blizzard's loot whore role-playing game Diablo was once destined for Game Boy Color. Codenamed Diablo Junior, this spin-off was to be a prequel story that came in three different versions. Sadly, the steep production costs killed off the project.

Yes, the bear in Sword & Sworcery EP really does have his willy out. According to Capy Games co-founder Nathan Vella, some people "just don't even notice that he has an actual, fully animated pixel penis".

Big updates

Barmy auto-run game Granny Smith has received an update on iOS and Android. It adds 12 out-of-this world levels in an all-new space chapter.

On the horizon

The fan translation for Ace Attorney Investigations 2 is coming along nicely. An English version of the game's first case should be available this year. Capcom says it will consider translating the game if 3DS adventure Phoenix Wright 5 sells by the bucketload.
