Apple reveals its Top 10 iOS apps: Doodle Jump, Flight Control HD, Real Racing, Pinball HD...
Four of PG's favourite games
After unveiling iPhone 4 and releasing Safari 5 at WWDC 10, Apple took time out to host its own app-based version of the Oscars.
With all 225,000 of the iOS applications on the App Store theoretically up for nomination at these annual Design Awards, deciding on the victors was no easy task for Steve Jobs and co.
In the end, Apple selected ten winners, evenly split between iPhone and iPad apps, and based its decision on design (unsurprisingly enough), technical excellence, innovation, quality, technology adoption, and performance.
In no particular order, here are the Big A’s top five iPhone apps:
Doodle JumpBrushes
Articles
Jamie’s 20 Minute Meals
Real Racing
And here are Apple’s top five iPad apps:
Financial Times iPad EditionTabToolkit
Flight Control HD
Pinball HD
Star Walk for iPad
