T-Mobile gets multiplayer World Poker Tour 2

Hands-On Mobile has announced that its World Poker Tour Texas Hold'Em 2 game has gone live with T-Mobile UK in its multiplayer incarnation.

Until now, T-Mobile customers could only buy the single-player version. It should spur an upswing in usage: in the US, people have played more than seven million hands against each other in the six months since it launched there.

Hands-On says other UK operators will be selling the multiplayer version soon. In the meantime, there's a web-based version available here, which lets you play against mobile users as well as other online players.

In a just, fair and righteous world, all the operators would launch a new multiplayer title in the same week, so that you'd be able to tell your friends about it and all join up. Maybe one day...
